Marathon: This beautiful mid-Ohio course is extremely flat with an elevation gain of approximately 350 ft on the way out from Sunbury to Centerburg and 50 ft on the way back from Centerburg to Sunbury. The course features gorgeous sections of the Ohio to Erie Trail traversing through lovely countryside with much of the course shaded by tree cover.

The Sunbury Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying event. Course Certification Code: OH26012JHP.

Half-Marathon: Out and back course includes about 190 ft of elevation gain on the way out and is almost entirely downhill/flat on the way back.

10K: Out and back course is flat and fast!

Note on Trail Crossings: For everyone's safety special duty officers (county sheriff) will staff every road crossing along the route. Roads crossed along the Ohio to Erie trail will still be open to traffic and participants may be asked by special duty officers to yield/stop to oncoming traffic. If this happens, count your blessings you are being asked to take a breather, not run up a hill!
